Vertical Jump Test.
Measure lower-body explosive power through vertical jump height. Record standing reach and maximum jump reach across repeated trials, identify the best jump and establish a repeatable power-performance baseline.
Test Protocol
Standardised vertical jump assessment procedure
The Vertical Jump Test assesses lower-body explosive performance by measuring the difference between an athlete's standing reach and the highest point reached during a maximal vertical jump. The athlete should use the same measurement method, footwear, surface and technique for every trial when tracking performance over time.
Jump Height = Maximum Jump Reach − Standing Reach. The result can be recorded in centimetres or inches. EVOLVE uses the best valid trial as the primary performance result. If body mass is entered, an optional relative-power estimate can also be displayed; it should be treated as an estimate rather than laboratory power measurement.

Where this test fits in the platform
The Vertical Jump Test creates a repeatable lower-body power baseline that can eventually connect with athlete profiles, historical testing, training recommendations and long-term performance tracking.
